ETHNOMIR The whole world in one park.

To travel the world, it is not necessary to travel far from home. Just 90 kilometers from Moscow, there is a huge cultural and educational center ETNOMIR - an ethnographic museum and an active recreation area. The total area of the complex is 140 hectares. It is especially good here in the summer ...

The exposition part of ETNOMIR is a miniature model of the world, which is located in a picturesque park area. To visit ETHNOMIR means to make an interesting round-the-world trip in a few hours. Where else will you have the opportunity to take a leisurely stroll from Asia to Europe and back in minutes? The life of each country is represented here in detail recreated ethno-yards repeating the architecture, decoration and traditions of different peoples. All this is complemented by appropriate sculptural compositions. Want to get deeper familiar with the culture of a country? Turn to the “guardians of traditions” - they will tell you about the ancient customs and beliefs of their peoples. For the curious, dozens of excursions and workshops are held daily, including a pottery workshop, a workshop for baking, soap making, wood painting, water drawings and other directions. Live in a Ukrainian hut, a Khakass yurt, a Nepalese house, or in any of ten cozy comfortable ethnic hotels. Each of them conveys the atmosphere and flavor of a particular country. Want to come with your own tent? Welcome! The park provides camping sites. The tourist infrastructure is presented including the trade fair complex “Peace Street”, where you can buy souvenirs from different parts of the globe, and six cafes with cuisines from different countries. Among them is the Uley Cafe, where you will be offered fresh mead, and the Oriental Cafe Teahouse - relaxation in the oriental style. And if you want to cook dinner yourself, take advantage of equipped bonfire places at the very edge of the spruce forest. In the park you can rent everything you need to organize a picnic: firewood, coal, skewers and more. The corners of the park, beloved by children, are an enclosure with fluffy blue-eyed husky, a rope town and a forest maze. In winter, huskies will be happy to ride you on a sleigh in the snow. In the summer, you can rent all kinds of two- and four-wheeled vehicles (for example, bicycles, segways and golf carts). Each of the 365 days of the year is dedicated to one of the many holidays of different countries, so the solemn atmosphere in ETNOMIR is preserved year-round. On weekends, as a rule, large festivals are held here. A detailed program of each day can be found in the calendar of events on the site.
