The Kolomenskoe Estate Tour

About Kolomenskoe Estate:
Kolomenskoye estate is located on the bank of the Moscow River, 10 km southeast of the Kremlin and surrounded by over 350 hectares of ancient woodland.
Kolomenskoye was first mentioned in chronicles of Prince Ivan Kalita in 1339. Since the 14th century Kolomenskoye had been the summer residence of Great Moscow Princes, and after - Russian tsars.
Kolomenskoye is represented by many vintage wooden constructions, such as beautiful churches and tent-roofed constructions.
On the territory of the park you will find a unique historical- architectural ensemble. On a walking tour you can see such famous churches as the Kazan Church built in the 1660`s, the Ascension Church built in 1532, the bell-tower church of St. George, the Church of Beheading of St. John the Forerunner, surrounded by a small cemetery with graves dating back to the 14th -19th centuries.
Nowadays Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve is one of the most picturesque and popular places in Moscow.

About Sergievo Lavr Tour: The Sergiev Posad, the most known Russian town on Golden ring route is often called the Russian Vatican. Tour Plan: A trip from Moscow to Vladimir and Suzdal and back to Moscow takes around 10 hours altogether. Vladimir is located 180 km to the east of Moscow. It is a town of a thousand-year history, the capital of Russian state in the 12th  century. City tour in Vladimir includes the oldest monuments of Russian white-stone architecture of the 12th century, including the Assumption Cathedral, one of the most historically important Russian Orthodox Churches and a short visit to two local museums. Then, we proceed to Suzdal, which is 38 km from Vladimir. Suzdal is one of smallest town on the Golden ring route, but has more examples of architectural monuments than any other cities. With the history going back to 1024 it stayed aside from industrial development and still keeps the look of a charming village with fascinating panoramas. Within a small area of the city there are four monasteries and a big number of Russian Orthodox churches built in different times in various styles. Local museum of Wooden Architecture and peasant life is one of the best known in Russia. The Hermitage Tour

The Pavlovsk Palace Tour (with a visit to Grand Palace and a park)

Tour Plan: The Pavlovsk Palace is located 13 miles (27 km) away from St.Petersburg. The original estate was around 1500 acres and was a gift from Catherine the Great to Paul on the birth of his first son, the future Tsar Alexander I, in 1777, so that he could build his summer residence here. The palace started being constructed in 1781 designed by the famous Scottish architect, Charles Cameron, who made the design of the Grand Palace, one of the finest examples of Russian classicism, the Apollo Colonnade and the Temple of Friendship pavilions, and the impressive 16-column Three Graces Pavilion. After Cameron, many other architects including Voronikhin, Brenna, Rossi and others designed Pavlovsk.
The park was made by another great master, Pietro Gonzaga, who worked on it for 25 years, from 1803 to 1828.

St Isaac's Cathedral and Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood Tour

About the Tour:
St. Isaac’s Cathedral, one of the most prominent landmarks in St. Petersburg, towers at the crossing of St. Isaac’s Square and Decembrist’s (formerly Senate) Square on the left bank of the Neva. St. Isaac’s is the fourth largest domed cathedral in the world after St. Peter’s in Rome, St Paul’s in London and Sta Maria del Fiore in Florence. St. Isaac’s, amazing by its dimensions even today. It was designed by an outstanding architect Auguste Ricard de Montferrand in 19th century.
The Church of the Savior on the Spilled Blood  would be more accurate, however, to call it the Church of the Resurrection on the Blood, since it was consecrated in the name of the Resurrection of Christ rather than in the name of Christ the Saviour. This striking edifice is one of the few remaining examples of the late 19th – early 20th century religious architecture in Russia and today represents a commemorative monument of both historic and artistic value. Built in 1883-1907 by an architect Parland, this church was designed in a spirit of 16th-17th century Russian architecture and resembles St.Basil's Cathedral in the Red Square in Moscow. The church was donated mostly by the royal family and thousands of private investors.
